Dear Kealing Band Students and Parents,
We hope you are having a wonderful Summer!
This is a reminder that our Summer Band activities for 2018-19 Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble members will be taking place next week (August 6-9). We will start promptly at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Students should bring their instruments, band supplies, and music binder. In addition to preparing some pep band music, we will also have fun activities like Band Olympics, Team Building Games, and conclude with a Pool Party at Bartholomew Pool on Thursday. Our tentative itinerary is included below:
Monday-Wednesday (August 6-8)
3:00-3:30 Full Band
3:30-4:00 Fun Activity
Thursday (August 9)
3:00-3:30 Full Band
3:30 Announcements and prepare for the pool!
4:00-6:00 Hang out/swim at Bartholomew Pool**
~6:15 Return to Kealing via school bus
**Students should bring $2 cash to enter the pool (no checks)
Note: Because we are taking a larger group to the pool, we are looking for 2-3 parent volunteers who would be interested in chaperoning/supervising the students. It will be a fairly laid back job because the pool is fully staffed with lifeguards. Please email Michelle DeVall at email@example.com if you are interested in joining us!
